life of an electrical engineer- a report

The series exams are finally over....me still at hostel as a whole week of extra classes, and to complete the picture, a couple of model exams and plenty of drawing sheets and record work.the idea of drawing sheet may appear very cute in telling, but it is evil, trust me....we are stuck with drawing complicated and vague drawings of machines, which would not have troubled me much if it is not for the fact that we have to do these drawings for exam without referring to any  pictures, and even worse , we have to analyse the question and make changes to the figures whose talaaa and vaal are not known.....It is the subject that keeps even some of the former students come back to the college with their kids for writing supplies......mam repeatedly assures us that learning previous question papers, nor she , will not be of any help.....she gives elaborate pep talks of the importance of dimensions in machine drawings, but while explaining the drawings, she asks for qualities  of approximation and presence of mind in us....:)....another problem is control systems.the subject is inherently tough and concepts are hard to get....as if the situation is not worst enough, our teacher is m tech from iit madras who keeps forgetting that fisat  is not iit madras...:)...mam..if u are reading it,(most probably you may not, even many in my own class are not aware of this blog's existence...) , i like your classes, but it is just that since the subject is tough, and combined with your in-depth analysis,a general feeling of "it is above our level" is instilled....the second series question paper was "thrilling", in her words.....one of the 12 mark questions was about the control system of a satellite lauched in to space....i felt a strong urge to laugh when i saw that question...the question paper of first series was about control system of earthly things for which half of the class failed...i think that  records, in present form, is  another thing to be banished from the engineering studies.at the end of 6 th semester, i was thinking the load will be decreasing since there will be only one lab in 7 th semester.but, when we entered the seventh semester , even though they kept their word about the one  lab thing, we found out that it consisted to "two lab" combo pack consisting of a special type of fair record "king size" specially designed for us....now the fair record is  to be submitted by Tuesday , consisting of around 20 experiments.....i could not think of anything to stop the impending disaster....today was hectic with the superfast lab sessions and couple of drawing sheet submissions which took me to 3 am at night.if you see a lighted house at 3 am in the night , or some people with chains on feet drawing transformer diagram on street wall, make a sure guess that an electrical engineer is at work.....and last , but not at all least,  there will be multiple hour control system, electrical machines and lab sessions.....at the end of the week, eee class juice will be distributed outside fisat building.....tomorrow is diwalii.....top films are hitting tomorrow at the screens....Our schedules are designed in such a way that "kurache idathotooo kurache vallatottoo neengiyaaa matii, apo suppli....".....so the life of electrical engineer going "padachoneeee kathoollliiiiiii...."....wish me luck boyss.....winding up this quoteee....stay awesome....
p.s.(dear teachers, this blog is meant for pure fun....no hard feelings....but the problems we face are real...)

  4. Last 3 weeks were the most driest and 'badest'(if the forefathers of English language will just 4give me) of the whole b tech course...the completion of record work and machine drawing sheets on war foot basis almost took the wind out of the lungs of every one...this sem clearly outshines and intimidates its predecessor in workload...5 th sem ,inspite of the 3 series tests appears to be better than this one...having someone like msk, better known for his procrastination ,seeing the lighter side of this tough times and writing about it in such a way that we all laugh our heads off is both consoling and rejuvenating...i here by appreciate his efforts and hope that his fingers finds the right keys on his keyboard always...
