being "responsible"

in the previous week, two of the many headlines that still linger in my head is the rise in petrol price and  a relatively insignificant topic of the ban on onion export closely followed by the lifting of the ban.okay...do not keep up that thought  train long enough to conclude that i am a regular reader and responsible person and stuff...i read only if paper is available after 8 at night....and most probably athe aavashyakar kondupoyitundaakum.....but i try to keep track of things....petrol prices,if we analyse the past can see that, have risen 18 times during the  upa regime...and 15 times it happened after control on rise in prices is transferred to oil companies.....the reason oil companies give for justifying their actions can be easily be broken by arguments and some simple statistics. for eg: they are saying that currently they are facing severe losses....the people who are saying this are ongc , ioc and bharat petroleum ,  companies coming in the list of largest profit making organisations in the world. iniyenglum avanmarke ie picha kanakke onne nirhtikudee.....so naturally the question arises...why in the first place did the govt took off the price control and transferred the people of india in to the "annnakke" of these "pichaaas"...??..it is said that govt did these from the pressures of nameless corporate tycoons who will be gaining advantage from these developments.... another eg: another reason that is commonly  raised is a technical term "under recovery" and "subsidy".....heavy english vaakukal upayogiche aalkare pedipikannula adavve....under recovery is actuallly the tagging of petrol and diesel in the rate outside india , at places where petrol and diesel are directly imported.....actually, in india,we dont import petrol and diesel...we import only petroleum....and about country's 75 percent needs on petroleum are met by refining done in  india....then why we have to pay for this particular under recovery,...??.....and subsidy is the amount that govt is spent on the petroleum...but the amount govt get from the taxes is way greater than the subsidy....statistics will prove that particular point easily.

another thing is the relatively unnoticed ban on onion prices and the closely subsequent removal.....lets examine that point....onion prices were skyrocketing....so to control it,the govt put ban on export  ....then what happened.....obviously it lead to decrease in prices....and these drop in prices really affected some persons....they saw govt "in the proper way" and next thing u know.....ban lifted....!!!...magic...

okkk,,,,ipo ningal vichaarikunudaavum "entaa mone ninte prashnam??.." enne....i am not  a ideal responsible citizen and all....but cannot help noticing these things....and today saw that in the 2g spectrum case, documents are found including including a letter drafted 2006 in which "perungalan" dhayanithi maran telling prime minister tht "namal vicharicha reetiyi kaaryangal povunude" regarding the licensing of 2g..(it ws in english: )).....and in quotes the "nammal"......sooo,is upa sarkar reallly legitimate...???....the way upa handled anna hazare really exposes the "uuurile panjam"....so...so much heavy talks for today....overaayii.....signing outt....stay awesome...
