life of an electrical engineer-part 2

After a long time, i am back to "quotrock" it for u guys,i mean, how  long can i resist the constant pressure from your side on me to bring it on.:)..Now after a "beautifully engrossing" four months, whose complete uncensored version will even drive the most passionate amateurs away from engineering business , the exams were not so bad as i expected....the control systems exam was postponed due to hartal...but before we could bring out the relieved "yeaaaahh", it was postponed to the weekend, next day to another exam.....machine drawing was bad as i expected....my hopes were not raised, when i saw a senior , who came for writing back paper , trying hard to reach and  draw with drafter because of her pregnancy issues...!!..suddenly a picture of me drawing, with a kid in a kangaroo pack attached to my front flashed through my mind....but, i think i will scrap through the exam.....ok,on second thought, the kangaroo thing with child seems more like it..I particularly mentioned these two subjects because these were the centre points of my previous post. Now, i am doing project with my friends manu adams , liju ram and vishnu....manu adams for initiating, liju ram for studying and calculations , i am for delaying the progress if it is too fast, and vishnu....well, i am still working on it.Up till now, vishnu pulled out some incredible  feats , which includes introducing himself as manu adams at college office(the reason is a mystery).....last, i heard that now manu adams has to pose himself as vishnu when going to office , because the office people are still head hunting for a certain "manu adams"  who created some serious trouble and confusion some time back. Our project is energy auditing of fisat for kseb.It includes the analysis of energy consumption of college in many perspectives, which is only limited by our imagination and equipments available, and at the end, we have to present a report on the ways in which energy consumption can be effectively reduced and the various ways in which the renewable energy resources available at college can be utilized. Our first visit to the haripad sectional kseb engineer, mahesh sir(external guide) was not at all encouraging. The first half hour of our meeting was spent in he "pep talking" us about the purpose and importance of the task that we are going to undertake..I had not had a clue that it was all going to topple in a matter of minutes...The problems initiated when he asked us to tell him about our college so that he could readily give us some example techniques for implementing conservation. We started telling him about the college , and after 15 minutes, we came to a heart breaking realisation...our fisat is as energy efficient as any building can hope to become...we even have a biogas plant!!!!.i mean, which engineering college has a biogas plant...!!!(this was the comment of our external guide :) ) .the meeting ended with he giving good luck to us, with a note that he is basically  diploma in electronics.i am not sure why he said that....:)..Our whole meeting was constantly peppered by frustrated people coming and saying that after the so called "computerisation" of kseb , all their bill records are erased and their electrical connections being disconnected. But our sir is very cool and dealt with them with super calm. But i could see that the rudeness scale of the people were on a linear positive slope through out our time there. I think it will be only be a matter of time for which , i do not know how to put it delicately , our project will be getting the support from haripad....:)... During the course of our project, there is not a place in fisat not seen by us , not a stone unturned and not a person left to talk.We saw many a staff whom i never saw in my 3 and half years of college life. To fisatians,i do not know how many know it , but there is actually a technical person at the back of the super computer servers of ccf lab. I think he comes out only at festivals and long vacations. Our project took us to the girls and pg girls hostel, which was really fun. When we went to the girls hostel , the matrons there thought we were really "auditors" and offered us seat, treated us supernice. Their first suspicion arose when , wanna guess.....ya,u guessed it right...when they saw vishnu.

:"apo ningal fisat ile pilere tanneyanalee...
:"...."atheee..."
:"chiii...eneekada.....".

But, really they were nice and showed us the registers, but we sensed a "virtual lash" around our necks after that. Finally when we were about to leave, adams asked about the number of external lights about which they were not really sure. vishnu, who was silent through out the entire audit procedure , asked,"njangal venamengi nadanne nokikolam....".Even they would have noticed the sudden interest....they politely replied"external lights ozhichula inspection nadathiyaa mati....":)..The warden at girls p g hostel took us in to the hostel and showed us some connection problems at the corridor, and asked us to do the needful, which made us feel very important.I now think she also had some wrong conclusions about our real identities ...The project work was overall energy consuming, but it was fun and gave really good quality time to spend together.Even though i would have liked a project on  building something or working on something innovative(ookk,guyss....repress that particular thoughts of nature "oo...ivanange undaakiyeenee..."), but i would say that i learned a lot from this, i got to get more in touch with college, had a good challenge to  my interpersonal skills("teachermare, pilere tudangi toopukaarke vare ariyam entaa njangal chyunatene, ente gatiketa neraane nokannee...:)") and above all, a good time with my buddies. This draft was prepared at the starts of january, but i could not post it due to many reasons, most of it rooting back to procrastination.i have been adding things to this draft ever since and i think it has become quite long now.Our new semester started 2 weeks before and it was quite enough to conclude that the final semester may end with a bang.More on that later.i heard many a good compliments on my writing from my friends. It really makes me happy and also responsible(i must say i hate that responsibility part). But i knew it long before that i am awesome, trust me....ok,now i am a little ahangaari too...:)...so winding up this quote....stay awesome.
